Former presidential press secretary Chikumbutso Mtumodzi has been arrested.
Police have confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), saying Mtumodzi is being kept at Lingadzi Police Station in Lilongwe.
When asked to explain the reason for the arrest, the police said details will be released later regarding his arrest.
Last week, Lilongwe Magistrate Court issued warrant of arrest for Mtumodzi, a former spokesman of late president Bingu wa Mutharika, on allegations that he was inciting venderos to revolt against government.
