KANYE West has previously expressed his desire to run for US president but it looks like he’s getting serious.
Having suggested he would run for president in 2020, the Fade rapper appears to have confirmed it’s a definite after a meeting with president-elect Donald Trump.
Yesterday, the 39-year-old was spotted in the lobby of Trump Tower in Manhattan, New York, flanked by security.
Yeezy was given a 15-minute meeting with Trump.
Kanye allegedly asked for the meeting with the future president and Trump agreed, even calling Kanye his “friend” and a “good man”.
Although Kanye wasn’t willing to answer press questions at the time, he’s now revealed what went down in the meeting in a series of tweets.
He wrote: “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues.
“These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernising curriculums, and violence in Chicago.
“I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change. #2024”
The hashtag #2024 has been taken as the rapper announcing his intention to run for the White House in 2024.
