President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s Press Secretary Mgeme Kalilani on Monday survived what could have been a terrible accident.

The accident happened at Chimaliro forest close to Jenda roadblock in Mzimba district.

Kalilani confirmed of the accident in an interview with one of the popular online publication in the country, saying he escaped with minor injuries.

According to information at hand, Kalilani was travelling to Mzuzu on official duties with his wife Carol.

The two were treated at Jenda Health Centre in Mzimba as outpatients.
