Suspended Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development George Chaponda has arrived in the country from Germany.
Chaponda arrived in the country through Chileka Airport in Blantyre against earlier reports that he was going to jet in through Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.
According to an eyewitness from Chileka Airport, Chaponda was whisked away from reporters to official vehicle which he was waiting upon his arrival.
Chaponda sneaked out of the country on Thursday last week to attend workshop in Berlin defiling court order restraining him from executing his duties as Cabinet Minister until investigations in the Zambia-Malawi maize deal are over.
Meanwhile Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are scheduled to file for contempt of court against Chaponda alongside Chief Secretary to the President.
