Veteran musician Lucius Banda who is also United Democratic Front (UDF) Member of Parliament for Balaka North is back in the studio working on the new album titled ‘Crime’.
Banda made the announcement on Wednesday through a short statement posted on his official facebook page seen by faceofMalawi reporter.
“Thirteen songs written in a space of two years…… in two weeks time we are going into the studios…. album title: CRIMES,” wrote Banda.
While not specifying the exact date when the 19th album will be released, Banda said the album is scheduled to be released in April 2017.
The album comes at a time many Malawians have been pressuring Banda to voice out something regarding the current readership under President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika which is marred by sharp rise in corruption as announced by Corruption Perception Index.
In the report, Malawi has been ranked on position 120 out of 176 economies, with a score of 30.
