Joint Parliamentary inquiry on maize-gate involving the Agriculture Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) is scheduled to leave the country for Zambia on Tuesday, faceofmalawi can reveal.

Chairman of the inquiry Joseph Chidanti Malunga confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have cleared them.

Malunga said the committee will meet owners of a privately owned company Kaloswe Commuter and Courier Limited based in Zambia which purportedly played the role of middleman in the purchase of 100,000 metric tonnes of maize.

The committee is also expected to meet leader of opposition who played a big role in revealing the dubious deal.

The committee was scheduled to leave the country yesterday but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not authorize the trip.
