President of Umodzi Party Professor John Chisi has commended the commission of inquiry of the maize gate scandal for coming up with report which is not bias but open to all.

He said the recommendations are clear and it will require the nation to appreciate the hard work done by the commission of inquiry.

“Our hope is that the president of this country will give the right guidance so that the vision of having people of intergrity. Hardwork and patriotism can be realized.

“This should be lesson for people who are involved in procuring public goods that our leader will do everything possible to protect the public from being abused,” he said.

He urged the people that have been implicated not to have followed the right procedures in the process of procurement of the staple grain to show patriotism by making decisions that will give credibility not only to them but to the leader of this country.

Chisi said anything less will be construed as arrogance and breach of fundamentals of democracy.
