Traditional Authority (T/A) Njema of Mulanje will be laid to rest today at his Muloza Headquarters in the district.
T/A Njema died on at Mulanje Mission Hospital after a long illness.
Mulanje District Commissioner (DC), Reinghard Chavula confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
T/A Njema assumed the chieftaincy on December 5 1997 but the installation ceremony took place in 2012.
The delay was due to some issues, according to Chavula.
He is survived by a wife and four children.
