Two people are reported dead while five others are battling for their lives at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) after a fence of a house fell on them in Chirimba Township in the commercial capital Blantyre.
Police officers stationed at Chirimba confirmed of the accident in an interview with the press and identified one of the deceased person as a businessman from Balaka.
According to the police, relatives of the deceased in Balaka have been informed of the incident.
The other deceased has been identified as as five year old girl who was with her brother and is at Queens receiving medical treatment.
The victims met their fate as they were trying to pass one of the fence surrounding a certain house in the Township.
It is said that the incident happened on Monday afternoon just after the heavy rains.
