Former President for Albino Association of Malawi, Gilbert Daille has been rescued from thugs who invaded his house on the wee hours of Friday in Kawale Township in the capital Lilongwe.

Police in Lilongwe confirmed of the attacks in an interview with one of the local radios in the country, Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
On his part Daille said the attackers drilled a hole to his bedroom.

“I heard something like earth falling so I became I suspicious. When I woke up I saw a large hole on my house wall, this is when I screamed and the attackers run away,” he said.

He said the neighbours hunted for the attackers in the vicinity and managed to apprehend one suspect who took refuge in a maize field near the house.
The suspect is currently being kept at Kawale Police.

Meanwhile police have launched a manhunt for the remaining thugs who are currently at large.
