NU-LINE textiles-the manufacturers of chipeloni blankets has reiterated its commitment to continue giving Malawians Quality blankets.
Mahmud Islam factory General Manager for the company said this in an interview with face of Malawi.
He said the company will continue giving Malawians quality blankets at affordable prize and the existence of the company has reduced importation cost of blankets in Malawi.
“The manufacturing of our blankets has reduced importation cost thereby reduced forex spending and we have created about 200 jobs as well as a market for domestic Malawians who are also earning living through selling our blankets about 1,200 of them” he said.
Mahmud said as the country approaches the cold season the company will continue giving quality blankets with maximum satisfactory.
Despite the progress they are making Mahmud said challenges still remains like unavailability of law materials due to land locked country.
He also said there is no skilled labor force in Malawi and unexpected devaluation and unreliable electric supply.
“We intend to enter into other textiles products like chitenje, curtains, and bed sheet material in future” he said.
The company import its raw materials from India because they give a better prize and quality material. Mahmud urges the people of Malawi to buy Malawian and be Malawian.
