The strike by Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) junior workers which started on Monday has entered the second day.

The workers are demanding a hike in their monthly salaries.

Speaking in an interview with MIJ fm radio, one of the workers who opted for anonymity said the workers will only return to work once their demands are met.

When asked as to whether the workers have come up with the specific percentage which they want the management consider when hiking their salaries, the woman said the workers are yet to come up with that.

She said ADMARC CEO Foster Mulumbe has asked the workers to come up with a negotiating committee.

ADMARC board chair James Masumbu confirmed of the strike but denied reports by certain media houses in the country claiming that the strike is to do with Mulumbe.
