President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has fired the outspoken Minister of Civic Education, Culture and Community Development Patricia Kaliati.
This has been disclosed in a press statement from the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) seen by faceofmalawi reporter.
According to the statement, Mutharika has replaced Kaliati with Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) deputy secretary general Cecilia Chazama.
Meanwhile reasons for Kaliati’s firing are not yet known.
