Police in Zomba have arrested three people in connection to the robbery attack that happened at the offices of Public Affairs Committee (PAC) spokesperson Father Peter Mulomole.

The thugs went away with money amounting to MK2.5 million and computers.

National Police spokesperson James Kadadzera confirmed of the development in an interview with the press on Tuesday but denied to reveal the identities of the suspects.

Kadadzera said the police have since managed to recover a computer stolen by the thugs suspected to be hardcore criminals who have been terrorizing Zomba township of late.

Many people in the country linked the robbery attack to the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) due to the fact that it came barely a day before PAC released its statement describing President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika of miserably failing the country.

But Minister of Information and Communications Technology Nicholas Dausi denied the claims, saying the reports are baseless.
