As political supremacy between the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and opposition People’s Party (PP) is getting nasty each passing day, reports reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that PP’s Third Vice President for the North Kamlepo Kalua is missing.
The missing of Kamlepo comes barely days after the Malawi Revenue Authority and over 100 armed police officers invaded the house of the vocal politician.
Kalua’s son Penjani popularly known as Fredokiss confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying his father went missing on Saturday.
“We fear for his life. None in our family knows his whereabouts. It’s unlike of him. We are afraid,” said Penjani.
Meanwhile the Malawi Police service has returned the three vehicles belonging to Kalua and his son which they seized last week.
The decision follows the High Court order granting Kamlepo’s temporal relief from an imminent arrest in connection with his alleged tax evasion.
