People from all walks of life on Tuesday converged at Limbe Cathedral to bid farewell to late Fr. Frank Malinda a priest who belonged to the Archdiocese of Blantyre.

Archbishop Thomas Luke Msusa of the Archdiocese of Blantyre presided over the Holy Mass assisted by Bishop George Tambala of Zomba Diocese, Bishop Peter Musikuwa of Chikwawa Diocese and Bishop Montfort Sitima of Mangochi Diocese.

In his homily, Fr. Focus Chikweya said that late Fr. Frank Malinda was an excellent preacher whose homilies had an impact on the lives of the faithful.
“He was a bulldozer as a preacher,” Fr. Chikweya said.

“He was a priest who always radiated joy to people showing that he was happy to be a priest, enjoyed interacting with both the young and the old and was never afraid to admonish the faithful where necessary. And was a good dancer too among his fellow priests during social gatherings,” he added.

Born on February 7, 1958, Fr. Malinda was ordained as a priest on July 21, 1985 and served in many parishes during his lifetime and his last was Phalombe Parish.

He hailed from Nguludi Parish in Chiradzulu, Archdiocese of Blantyre.
