A man in Florida, United States (US) reportedly got bitten by a rattle snake on his tongue as he tried to kiss it publicly.

Man identified as Ron Reinold was reportedly playing with the highly venomous serpent that a neighbor had caught the previous day.

According to reports, the incident is said to have happened on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

Charles Goff, the neighbor who found the snake on Monday, May 15, told news reporters:

“The next morning before I got up, they were playing with the snake. One boy said, ‘I’m going to kiss it in the mouth,’ and the snake bit him in the face.”

Reinold was airlifted to hospital by helicopter, put in a coma and is expected to survive.

Goff chastised Reinold for being “irresponsible” with such a deadly snake.
