The newly National Registration Bureau (NRB) officers are expected to pass though hard time in conducting National ID registration exercise as its funds’ allocation believed to be mismanaged.
According to reports, among the first phase in this exercise some were dispatched yesterday to Mchinji District, and are told to be sleeping in the class rooms.
The development has angered some recruits and surprised many if the life of officers especially female will be safe sleeping in classes.
Another source indicate that these officers are going to be paid k120, 000 as monthly allowance and they are not signed to be on payroll.
NRB has recruited 4,200 registration officers and supervisors to carry out the exercise which will be done in five phases.
