Bishop Thomas Luke Msusa of the Archdiocese of Blantyre has openly attacked the state controlled Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) for twisting his words to suit its political propaganda in favor of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Msusa made the remarks on Thursday at Mount Soche Hotel in the commercial capital Blantyre during the two day conference organized by Public Affairs Committee (PAC).

In his contribution, Msusa said it is wrong for MBC to be using his previous statement to score political mileage

“Using of what I said as if I agree with everything of what is happening; that is wrong. I don’t like what MBC has done to use what I said out of context,” said Msusa

He added: “One day the power of the gun shall not be feared. Am not a prophet but we should remember that one day the power of the gun will not be feared.”

Meanwhile Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Samuel Tembenu has apologized to Bishop Msusa.
