A Zambian woman, Cadre Shila Hamukale, of United Party for National Development (UPND) has been jailed for 21 days and fined by a Court in the country.
Hamukale, 24, was apprehended on 8th June, 2017 for indecent exposure.
The Monze Magistrate court today jailed the outspoken cadre for 21 days and slapped her with a fine after she was found guilty of “Idling and disorderliness.”
Hamukale appeared in a video which went viral on social media pleading for the release of incarcerated UPND president Hakainde Hichilema.
In the 41 seconds video which was shot at a bus station, Hamukale is seen bouncing around while bragging that she is a “matako (buttocks) ya Monze” (which loosely means dependable lady around town) while demanding that Hichilema be released.
Wearing a camouflage cap and khaki bumshot, Hamukale warns that if Hichilema is not released, she will undress so that President Edgar Lungu sees her plea.
Another female voice is heard in the background urging Hamukale on and boasting in Bemba that ‘ebanakashi aba’ (these are the real women).
Hamukale, with a strikingly different pair of green and red socks is later seen flexing her well built legs as if she is about to take a game winning penalty then walks towards a Mini bus which is parked by the roadside.
