Former Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President John Tembo has come out of his cocoon to trash calls for convention by the Party’s Secretary General Gustav Kaliwo, saying the call is unfortunate.
Tembo’s remarks come barely days after the Party obtained an injunction restraining Kaliwo from conducting the Party’s convention scheduled for July 7 and 8.
Speaking in an inclusive interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), Tembo said Kaliwo’s call for convention it’s a nonstarter.
Tembo also urged the Party to resolve the ongoing impulse with sober mind.
Meanwhile some MCP officials are calling for the immediate firing of Kaliwo, saying he is bringing confusion in the Party.
