Close to 250, 000 candidates are expected to seat for the 2017 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations scheduled to start on Thursday this week across the country.

Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) Public Relations Officer Simeon Maganga confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Maganga said currently candidates are verifying their identity cards with the Board, especially whose ID’s had problems.

“Delivery of identity cards for 2017 MSCE exam candidates started on June 2 in all regions and we started accepting queries immediately. All registered candidates were requested to be in touch with their schools for ID collection and query solving,” said Maganga.

Meanwhile analysts have said the recent strike teachers across the country have an impact on the exams.
