The dispute between the Council of the University of Malawi and Chancellor College Academic staff over salary disparities has been amicably resolved.
This has been disclosed in a press statement released on Tuesday signed by Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Emmanuel Fabiano.
According to Fabiano, all constituent colleges of the University will resume normal functions and that the Chancellor College Management will make a statement within the next two days on the opening of the college.
The matter was resolved during a meeting between the University of Malawi Council and College Academic Staff representatives with the facilitation of Government in Zomba on Tuesday.
On Sunday Mutharika dissolved the Council for the University of Malawi (UNIMA)for failing to resolve the impulse that have been rocking the Chancellor College.
