Govt declares Monday June 26 as Ed Ul-Fitr Public Holiday

The Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) has advised that this year’s Ed Ul-Fitr celebrations marking the end of the Hole Month of Ramadhan, will be observed either on Sunday, 25th of June 2017 or Monday, 26th June 2017 depending on the sighting of the moon.
As such, the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has declared Monday, 26th June 2017 as Eid Ul-Fitr Public Holiday.
