Police in Ndirande in a running battle with minibus drivers and conductors dropped a gun which has allegedly been burnt and an unused tear gas grenade.
Protests over tough stance by traffic police in the wake of increasing road accidents escalated in most parts in Blantyre amid condemnation from Minibus Owners Association of Malawi.
Meanwhile, Blantyre which does not normally see a lot of Bicycles on its streets has today taken in a bit more, as passengers opt for alternative transportation.
