President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has appointed Madam Commissioner Wandika Phiri as the new Malawi Prisons Chief.

This has been disclosed in a press statement from the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) made available to faceofmalawi.

According to the statement, the appointment is with immediate effect.
