President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has fired Minister of Health Peter Kumpalume from his Cabinet and now his position has been taken up by Atupele Muluzi.
The reshuffle has also seen Deputy Minister of Defence Vincent Ghambi being dropped in the Cabinet.
The new faces in the cabinet are Anna Kachikho who has been appointed as Minister of Lands and Urban Development and Clement Mukumbwa, Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Welfare and Everton Chimulirenji as Deputy Minister of Defence.
According to the statement, the appointment is with effect from July 17 2017.
Meanwhile the reshuffle has attracted mixed reactions with others criticizing Mutharika.
