Dr. Kenneth Kaunda who was the first president of Zambia has been admitted to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka, Zambia.

According to media reports in Zambia, the 93-year-old father and founder of Zambia was taken to the hospital yesterday evening after complaining about his health.

Minister of Health, Chitalu Chilufya said the first President was admitted last evening for minor complaints and his condition is stable.

“Medical personnel are also conducting general medical checkups on Dr. Kaunda and he is ready to be discharged from the hospital anytime tomorrow”, said Chilufya.

The government has further urged Zambian citizens not to panic with the situation of the former president but they should put him prayer.
