The ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Thursday grabbed a Malawi Prison vehicle to ferry its supporters from Mabilabo and Khosolo to Mzimba Boma, faceofmalawi can reveal.

This is not the first time for DPP to use government vehicles for party function. The same thing happened when President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika was having a rally in Karonga where supporters were spotted in government vehicle from Lilongwe.

On Thursday, Mutharika was having a rally in Mzimba where among other things he officially launched the Integrated Urban Water and Sanitation Project by the Northern Region Water Board.

The DPP supporters were seen in a vehicle registration number PS 022.

After an investigation, it was discovered that the DPP supporters were from Mzimba South Constituency which belongs to DPP Member of Parliament (MP) Deliwe Ng’oma.

Effort to talk to DPP Spokesperson Francis Kasaila proved futile.
