Police in Lilongwe are hunting for unknown criminal who is alleged to have murdered Thokozani Katuma of area 25c sector 1 on Sunday.
Kanengo police spokesperson Salome Zgambo Chibwana confirmed of the development in a statement made available to Faceofmalawi.
According to the reporter Mr Geoffrey Katuma who is the father to the deceased, the victim was staying alone at cleras. On the night of 28/29, he went to attend wedding celebrations which was within the area.
It is believed that there were misunderstandings between the victim and other people which resulted into a fight. Later the victim left the place only to be found lying unconscious on 29/07/17 close to his house.
The victim was taken to hospital at kamuzu Central where he died on 30/07/17 while receiving treatment.
The deceased who was 40 years hails from jekete village T/A mpama in chiradzulu.
Postmortem results done at kamuzu central hospital shows that death was due to head injuries and loss of blood.
