People across the world on Monday night including Malawians spent close to an hour outside to experience blood red moon called lunar eclipse which happened at around 8:30pm to 9:30pm.
The stunning photos seen by faceofmalawi reporter showed the partial eclipse in full display.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind the Earth into its umbra (shadow). This happen only when the sun, Earth, and moon are aligned (in “syzygy”) exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle.
