Ntcheu public relations officer Hastings Chigalu has confirmed the arrest of a 47-year-old father who was apprehended on Tuesday in the district for defiling his 13-year-old epileptic step daughter.
The suspect, MacDonald Chautsi is also answering murder charges and he was on high court bail by the time of committing the offence.
It is said the girl`s mother had gone to participate on church activities on that day, leaving her husband and the daughter alone.
“While the two where left alone in the house, the step dad took an advantage of defiling the girl and later told her not to reveal what had happened to neither anyone nor her mother,” said Chigalu.
The 13-year-old girl did not comply with her step father`s word and she confessed everything to her mother when she got back.
After taken for medical checkup it was revealed that the girl was really defiled and that it wasn’t the first time to experience defilement.
Chautsi will soon answer a defilement offence contrary to Section 138 of the penal code.
He comes from Saidi village, T/A Kwataine Ntcheu.
