The leader of United Democratic Party (UDF), Atupele Muluzi, has cleared the smoke surrounding his party and said that it is not  sold  to ruling government, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Speaking at a rally to party followers at Nyambadwe ground in the commercial City,  Blantyre on Sunday, Muluzi described his ministerial job in the  ruling government as the way of  practicing civilised politics in the country.

“It is a new way of doing politics. You can lose an election but focus on nation-building and making sure people come together. We want civilised politics,” Muluzi said.

The Minister of health and population also promised to hold  several rallies across the country.
