Kasungu Man to Spend 12-Years in Prison for Defiling and Infecting a 16-Year-Old With HIV

A court in Kasungu has sentenced a 48-year-old HIV positive man to 12-years in prison for defiling and infecting a 16-year-old girl with HIV virus.
The suspect has been identified as Patrick Moyo who had been sleeping with the teen without the knowledge of her parents.
According to State prosecutor, Francis Malenga, the convict knew of his HIV positive status but he was still forcing himself on the young girl.
Upon passing the judgment, the First Grade Magistrate Damiano Banda slapped the man to 12-years in prison with the aim to teach other men who have the same evil acts as that of Moyo.
