Renowned veteran musician, composer, choreographer and former deputy director of culture Bernard Kwilimbe was laid to rest on Tuesday at Chididi Village in Nkhotakota.
Hundreds of people attended the burial ceremony.
Recognizing the role that the icon played in developing the creative industry in the country, artists performed during the funeral ceremony.
Kwilimbe died on Sunday night at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe.
He is survived by a wife and six children.
