Blantyre Water Board (BWB) has closed down the Chipembere Highway to motorist following a burst pipe at The Polytechnic Traffic Lights.

This has been disclosed in a press statement released few minutes ago made available to faceofmalawi reporter.

According to the statement, the road will be opened to motorist on Saturday, 16th September 2017 at 12 noon.

“Blantyre Water Board would like to advise the general public that it is repairing a burst pipe at The Polytechnic Traffic Lights. As a result of these repair works, the road has been closed to all motorists at the stretch going to Limbe from NBS Bank to Steers.

“The repair works will be completed on Saturday, 16th September 2017; and it is expected that the road will be open to motorists by 12 noon on the said Saturday,” reads in part the statement.
