One of the Malawi’s leading mobile service providers, Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) has relieved of his duties its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Douglas Stevenson.

This has been disclosed in a press statement posted on TNM’s website signed by board chairperson George Patridge.

“The board of directors of Telekom Networks Malawi Plc wishes to inform all stakeholders that Douglas Stevenson is no longer employed as chief executive officer.

“TNM will shortly make an announcement concerning appointment of a substantive chief executive officer,” reads the statement in part.

According to Patridge, Eric Valentine is now Acting Chief Executive Officer for the company.

Meanwhile information sourced by faceofmalawi indicates that Stevenson has joined South African telecommunications company, Cell C, as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Cell C announced on Tuesday 26 September 2017 that the company has appointed Stevenson from TNM.
