Malawi’s legendary music super star Lucius Banda famously called Soldier has apologized to his fans for the delay in releasing his 19th album titled ‘Crimes’.
In July this year, Banda informed his music fans through his official facebook page that he will release his 19th album in August.
“Malawi get ready now CRIMES ALBUM IS READY FOR RELEASE AUGUST, DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHONDE….MUCH AS YOU CAN GET THE MUSIC FROM YOUR FRIENDS BUT FOR THE SAKE OF SUPPORTING ME PLEASE PREPARE TO BUY A CD just to support me,” wrote Banda.
But the month of August passed without any official update from Banda about his 19th album. The development left his followers disappointed.
Due to this development Banda who is also Member of Parliament for Balaka North Constituency has apologized for not living to his promise.
“After the great sandfestival….. my musical focus is on my new album”CRIMES”. Am so sorry to my fans for keeping you waiting, but this album will now come out anytime very soon…..thanks for supporting me all these years. My strength is in God and my fans,” wrote Banda.
Through his long music journey, Banda has always been on top of his game and never goofed in all his albums.
His first album was Son of a Poor Man which was recorded in South Africa in early 1990’s.
The list of his albums also includes, Down Babylon, Money and Power, Enemy, Yahwe, Unity, Take Over, Time, Survivor, Cell 51, Thank you among others.
