One man is reported dead after a van truck registration number MZ 1367 carrying bags of cement and maize overturned at Mapanjira in Mzimba district.
The accident happened at the exact spot where 22 Malawi Defence Force Soldiers died after a Tata vehicle overturned three times last week.
Northern Region Police Spokesperson Peter Kalaya confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the deceased as Osward Nyirenda.
According to Kalaya, the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon.
He said the accident happened due to overloading.
