Former Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development George Chaponda and Trans-globe Managing Director Rashid Tayub have pleaded not guilty to charges they are facing in connection with the maizegate scam.
The two are appearing in the Blantyre Magistrate’s court this morning.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in July this year arrested Chaponda, Grace Mijiga Mhango and Tayub for their alleged involvement in the dubious maize purchase from Zambia.
