The police in Lilongwe have arrested two personal body guards for Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) President Enock Chihana for allegedly assaulting the party’s Secretary General Christopher Ritchie.
National Police Spokesperson Kingsly Dandaula confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the two as Mr. Gama, a Mozambican national and Nathan Ngozi from Rumphi.
The two attacked the Party Secretary General Christopher Litchi and Regional Chairperson for the centre Nicholas Kamoto during an emergency meeting held at Byte Lodge in Area 47.
The two were regarded as intruders at the meeting, hence the attack.
Meanwhile the two are being kept at Lingazi Police in the capital Lilongwe.
