An eighteen year old teenage boy has been arrested for killing his friend.
The suspect has been identified as Moses Chisambi who murdered a 20-year-old Wilson Mumba.
Mzimba police public relations officer reported that on 27 November, the two had a misunderstanding and all happened to have attended a football match at Bulala in the same district.
After the match as the victim was heading home around 8 pm, the teen suspect ambushed him on the way and used a knife to stab him in the head then fled from the scene.
Some good Samaritans took the helpless boy to the hospital but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
A postmortem done at Mzimba district hospital showed that the death was due to severe loss of blood.
The teen suspect comes from Ching`anya village in the area of Traditional Authority Chindi in Mzimba district.
