President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has described the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) under Dr. Lazarus Chakwera as party of crocodiles.
Mutharika said this on Wednesday at the commissioning ceremony of Strategic Fuel Reserves in the capital Lilongwe.
In his speech, Mutharika said he cannot be intimidated by anyone and in 2019 Malawians will choose for themselves between DPP and the crocodile party referring to the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
His remarks attracted ululations from DPP youth cadets and some party officials who graced the ceremony.
Meanwhile MCP officials are yet to comment on Mutharika’s remarks.
