A man who is said to have been mentally challenged has died after being hit by a train in Lilongwe.
According to Deputy Public Relations Officer of Kanengo Police Constable Salome Zgambo Chibwana, the victim who is believed to be aged between 25-30 years was clashed by the train on Saturday 23rd December at Chambu village, T/A Chitukula in Malawi`s capital Lilongwe.
Chibwana said the man was discovered lying along the rail way line by villagers who reported the matter to Kanengo police station.
In response, police and medical personnel approached the scene of the accident where they found the man severely clashed to death.
A postmortem revealed that the death was due to fractures and severe blood loss.
