The termination of policy for people seeking to make vehicle change of ownership at the Directorate of Road Traffic in the country has bring happiness to many car owners.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) that had been examining all applications regarding change of motor vehicle ownership after the discovery of the plunder of public resources which came to be known as cashgate at the end of year 2013, has meanwhile released the Press Statement on the discontinuity of the process.
In the statement, ACB’ s Publicist; Egrita Ndala said the termination of the exercise has been done following the bureau’s 4 year investigations and prosecutions of most of the cashgate cases that have been so far concluded.
Since the begun of the exercise, there have been delays for vehicle change of ownership at the Road Traffic Directorate as sometimes the process exceeded normal screening period.
Some car owners including car sellers and travellers were used to give a bribe for the ACB screening document to get released within few minutes.
