OLD MUTUAL Malawi Limited has Trained Zokonda Amayi women programme on how they can successfully run their businesses.

Bernard Chiluzi Financial Literacy Officer at OLD MUTUAL said the organization has a number of activities that look at financial levels and capabilities of running business.

“Zokonda Amayi women approached us on the matter hence the training. We have trained them on how to manage, save and track their financial records,” he said.

He said time has come for Malawians to keep money in a method that will grow.

Chiluzi said people should do businesses that in turn should bring forex in the country.

He also said that OLD MUTUAL will continue sponsoring Zokonda Amayi programme as well as teaching people in villages how they can successfully run their businesses.

“The training is for free and people can call us or come to ask for the training. We have also done a number of activities with a local organization called Tingathe Amalawi in Lilongwe and we also trained some chiefs in Lilongwe,” he said.

One of the women who attended the training Hance Novilikana who is the charlady for Zokonda Amayi Programme said previously they were doing business without knowing how to manage their finances and now the group knows how to manage and save their finances.
