Two female drug dealers have been arrested for being found in possession of Apomorphine drug at their house in Lilongwe.

The suspects have been identified as 24-year-old Vanessa Thawani and Nisha Amin aged 26.

According to reports, well-wishers informed the police that Nisha had sent her colleague Vanessa to collect 2.4 kg’s of Apomorphine drug from a certain Nigerian and bring them over to Malawi.

When the drugs arrived in the country, Nisha proceeded with her mission to look for another person to carry the drugs and deliver them to another Nigerian in India which in the process, officers from Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Headquarters managed to apprehend the two suspects with the help of police.

Meanwhile, the two have been remanded at Maula prison as they wait for their court hearing.

Vanessa Thawani hails from Ntcheu district in the area of Traditional Authority Makwangwala while Nisha Amin comes from Mpondasi village, T/A Mponda in  Mangochi.

In another development in relation to this one, a lady identified as Faith Thokozani Kunyumbu and and her Nigerian boyfriend identified as Chinonye Egeonu (IKE) aged 34 have also been arrested in connection with illicit drug dealings.

Reports say police received information that there is a parcel at FedEx suspected to be used to conceal dangerous drugs.

Following that, police made a thoroughly investigation which after a search, four packets of cocaine were found inside baby carriers.

It was discovered that the drugs were sent by Thokozani through FedEx Express at Blantyre Offices and were meant to reach to James Michael in Athens Greece.

Later on 18th march, Blantyre drug officers managed to arrest Thokozani’s boyfriend who revealed he uses his girlfriend to send drugs to clients outside the country.
