Leader of Transformation Alliance (TA) Moses Kunkuyu has joined the main opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Kunkuyu made the announcement at Malawi Sun Hotel on Wednesday morning and he endorsed MCP President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera as the only candidate Malawians should vote for in the forthcoming tripartite election.
In a function attended by many MCP top officials, Kunkuyu described the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) under President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as the most corrupt party ever.
Kunkuyu said MCP is the only party that can solve challenges that the country is passing through now such as persistent power cuts, corruption and high employment rate.
One of the MCP top officials who attended the function said the party is humbled by the decision taken by Kunkuyu.
The country is scheduled to hold its second tripartite election in May next year.
