Following that, Sulira suffered internal bleeding and he was rushed to Chintheche Rural Hospital where he died upon arrival.

The passenger on the pillion seat sustained minor injuries and he was treated afterwards.

This comes a week after another Malawi police officer died after being hit to death by a speeding minibus.
