A man whose age is believed to be between 30 and 40 has been found dead in Lilongwe.
According to Kanengo Police Public Relations Officer Sub Inspector Laban Makalani, the unidentified dead body was found on Thursday lying along Nankhaka River which is within Kanengo Industrial Area.
Makalani said the body was found without a left ear and also with some wounds.
Police suspect that the man was killed through mob justice following an incident which occurred on Wednesday at Ngomani area where a man who was being suspected to have been a thief was severely beaten by the public.
Meanwhile, the body has been taken to Kamuzu Central Hospital’s mortuary as police have opened a murder case against people behind this.
